Skip4Life is here! In association with the Lancashire School Sports Partnerships and Lancashire Healthy Schools team, and our media partner partner Rock FM, Skipping4Schools is delighted to be the specialist skipping partner of the Lancashire SSPs ahead of Skip4Life, set to take place on Friday 2nd July, 2010.

We’ve been working closely with the Partnership Development Managers to create a training programme for primary school children across Lancashire to improve fitness and health levels in general.

Our specific goal is for children to achieve 3 minutes of continuous skipping, to be undertaken on Friday, 2nd July, from 12.20 to 12.23 as part of the Youth Sport Trust’s Mass Participation initiative in National Sports Week (28 June – 2 July 2010).

If your school is interested in participating, just drop us a line and we’ll get in touch with further details. What’s more, participation is absolutely free, so if you already have ropes and want to give your kids something extra to aim for do get in touch!

On the day, you’ll also be able to tune in to our media partner’s website www.rockfm.co.uk to hear the track we’ll be skipping along to but before that, we’re inviting children to vote for the track we’ll be skipping to which will be revealed on the day.

Children can vote for their favourite track at www.rockfm.co.uk/skip – let’s see which track wins!
