Although there may be several reasons why skipping can give you a more intense workout, the point is actually that we should all be doing at least an hour's pounding because scientists are learning how aerobic exercise can improve memory and learning.
And I know it's been said before, but I'll happily say it again: forget the brain training computer games, the best form of training for our brains is physical, so do up those laces and get off the couch! We'll offer an additional piece of evidence via the story of our Head Coach's recovery, proving that by exercising the body and brain - through skipping, in this case - is genuinely effective.
There are plenty of apps to help you get up off the couch or you can even just pick up a piece of rope and start your own 10 minute skipping programme a day.
If you'd like to incorporate skipping into your exercise routines, take a look in our skip shop and you’ll soon be able to get started.
Or if you'd like to find out more infos about how schools can use skipping to benefit their children, get in touch or call us on 01743 361863, chat to Tina and let's talk about how we can bring skipping into your school.
