Somewhere along the line, we'll all be able to recall a rhyme from our childhoods which we enjoyed chanting, more often than not learned as part of a game in the school playground. And for some reason it just sticks in our minds. So now we're looking to schools to help their children create new rhymes that they can use for skipping.
Our 'Rap, Rhyme + Riverdance' competition is a cross-curricular activity, intended to encourage children to understand the power of rhythm and rhyme initially in conjunction with skipping, and to then take the rhyme back into the classroom to create their own fully-fledged poem.
Our follow up to the Full Day Skip, the 'Jump Gym' day is an excellent vehicle to introduce this concept to your children and offers schools the opportunity to add english, maths and modern foreign languages to the skipping mix.
