Skipping can be done any time, any place, any where and is such a simple and effective piece of equipment. And used right, skipping can help with weight management.
In fact, last year Dr Michael Mosley presented a Horizon programme on The Truth about Exercise.Our version simply replaces an exercise bike with a skipping rope.....so, here goes:
Warm up
Warm up for a minute or so, then really go for it, SKIPPING hard for 20 seconds. Now take a breather
Go for it
Go fast for another 20 seconds. Take another breather — then do another 20-second burst
Repeat
Three bursts of 20 seconds equals one minute. Now do that three times a week....How easy do you need it to be?!
